    Alexsandra Walton

    Alex Walton is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) who works with athletes, teams, and coaches to strengthen the mental side of performance. Her approach emphasizes proactive skill building, helping athletes develop confidence, focus, resilience, and self-awareness before challenges arise.

    Alex has worked with athletes across a range of levels, including NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, elite high school teams, and individual competitors. She has served as an embedded mental performance coach with collegiate basketball teams, supported Division I gymnasts, and worked with minor league baseball players.

    She specializes in working with adolescent and collegiate athletes, helping them navigate the critical developmental years of identity, performance, and transition. In addition, Alex partners with parents to support the broader ecosystem around the athlete, drawing from both her professional experience and her personal perspective as a parent of student-athletes, including one who competed at the NCAA level.

    Alex holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD), where her research focused on belonging, identity development, and how individuals build the skills to navigate diverse environments while maintaining a strong sense of self. Her equity centered work informs her approach to mental performance, particularly in supporting athletes from diverse backgrounds in developing confidence, voice, and agency within competitive spaces.

    Her work is grounded in the belief that mental performance is not just about outcomes, but about helping athletes build the tools to navigate pressure, adversity, and success with intention and confidence.

    Kristy Bilbie-Bekius, MA, LPC, NCC, CMPC

    Kristy Bilbie-Bekius has a passion for supporting athletes, and empowering them to develop mental skills to positively impact their sports performance and overall mental wellness. Kristy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). Kristy founded Prepare to Perform LLC in 2023, a practice created to blend her passions to support athletes and teams. A teacher and helper at heart, Kristy has 25 years of experience in public education as both a teacher and a school counselor. From her experience working in education, Kristy brings the knowledge of child and adolescent development to her practice, which is beneficial when supporting athletes as they develop and mature in the worlds of youth sports to high school sports, and beyond. As a former college athlete and coach, Kristy understands the importance of being prepared both physically and mentally to perform in sport and competition. She also has an understanding of the different challenges athletes face and how to navigate them. Kristy provides comprehensive mental performance training that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual athlete. Her work centers on performance essentials such as: helping athletes reduce anxiety, increase confidence, and sustain motivation for competition. By implementing strategic habits, such as effective goal-setting and training routines, she ensures that clients are prepared for the demands of their sport. Kristy also specializes in building resilience, offering guidance for managing injury recovery and preventing burnout to ensure long-term health and success. Beyond her work with individuals, Kristy supports teams by focusing on the development of a strong, supportive, and mentally healthy team culture. Kristy works with teams to enhance communication skills, foster leadership, and improve overall cohesion, ensuring that the team’s mental game is as sharp as their physical one. Recognizing the vital role of the athletic support system, Kristy also empowers coaches and parents as key influencers. She provides them with the necessary tools to effectively support and cultivate the development of mental skills, creating a positive and supportive environment where athletes can thrive.

    Julie Shiller, ACSW

    Julie Shiller is a Mental Performance Coach and Associate Clinical Therapist (ACSW) with over 15 years of experience in coaching, youth development, and human performance. She is the founder of The Other 23 Hours Coaching, a practice dedicated to helping athletes, coaches, and parents build the mental, emotional, and behavioral skills that fuel high performance and long-term well-being.

    With a background in strength and conditioning and a Master’s in Social Work, Julie integrates sport psychology, mindfulness, and habit formation to support youth, teen, and adult athletes—specializing in LGBTQ+ youth and girls’ and women’s sports, with a passionate focus on keeping girls in the game. Her approach includes self-talk training, mental imagery, breathwork, and the development of high-impact routines—addressing the often-overlooked hours beyond practice and competition.

    Julie holds certifications as a Pain-Free Performance Specialist, ACSM Personal Trainer, and Precision Nutrition Coach. She is currently a CMPC applicant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and is working toward LCSW licensure in California.

    Her mission is to help athletes and coaches not just perform—but truly thrive in sport and life. Julie also leads workshops for the Positive Coaching Alliance and is a dedicated advocate for equity and inclusion in girls’ and women’s sports, with a special commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

    When she’s not coaching or presenting, you can find her lifting in the gym, hiking with her black lab Millie, or catching a women’s game. She’s all about movement, rest days, and making performance both fun and sustainable.

    Lisa Bonta Sumii, LCSW, CMPC, takes a comprehensive and inclusive approach to her work with athletes at all levels, from youth sports to elite professionals. She recognizes that each athlete faces unique challenges and pressures, and her methods are tailored to meet their individual needs. By integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strength-based strategies, she helps athletes develop resilience, self-awareness, and the mental skills necessary for success both in sports and in life.

    Her commitment to social justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity is a central aspect of her philosophy. Lisa actively advocates for underrepresented and marginalized groups within the athletic community, striving to create a more equitable environment for all athletes. She acknowledges the systemic barriers that many face and works to address these issues through her practice and outreach efforts.

    Diana Lattimore, Ph.D., CMPC

    Diana Lattimore, Ph.D., CMPC, is a Sport Psychology Professor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Diana brings both personal and professional experience to her work with athletes and coaches. She grew up playing a few sports, but gymnastics quickly became her love and identity. After high school, she went on to compete in gymnastics at Southeast Missouri State University. During her freshman year Diana sustained an elbow injury that required four surgeries and sidelined her for 13 months. That was a defining event for her as she fought her way back both mentally and physically and fortunately was able to continue & finish a great collegiate gymnastics career. In 2019, Diana was inducted into the TN Gymnastics Hall of Fame, where she competed in high school!

    Her elbow injury also paved the way for her career in Sport Psychology. Diana has been working with athletes for over 15 years to gain mental strength, confidence, and resilience in order to get back and start thriving in the sports they love. Diana has worked with youth athletes, elite level athletes, collegiate athletes, Olympians and coaches. She is passionate about helping athletes along their journey in order to reach their full potential, perform their best, and enjoy the ride!

    Daniela Fernandez, CMPC

    Daniela Fernandez completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Child Learning and Development from University of Texas at Dallas. After working training service dogs for a year, she completed her Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Addiction and mental health from the University of Texas at Dallas. She Worked at an intensive outpatient therapy center for a year where she then went to compete a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from  Dominican University of California and graduated in May 2023. Daniela has been working as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant for 3 years now working with a variety of sports including: swimming, soccer, triathlon, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball with athletes ages 9 to adults.
