Julie Shiller is a Mental Performance Coach and Associate Clinical Therapist (ACSW) with over 15 years of experience in coaching, youth development, and human performance. She is the founder of The Other 23 Hours Coaching, a practice dedicated to helping athletes, coaches, and parents build the mental, emotional, and behavioral skills that fuel high performance and long-term well-being.

With a background in strength and conditioning and a Master’s in Social Work, Julie integrates sport psychology, mindfulness, and habit formation to support youth, teen, and adult athletes—specializing in LGBTQ+ youth and girls’ and women’s sports, with a passionate focus on keeping girls in the game. Her approach includes self-talk training, mental imagery, breathwork, and the development of high-impact routines—addressing the often-overlooked hours beyond practice and competition.

Julie holds certifications as a Pain-Free Performance Specialist, ACSM Personal Trainer, and Precision Nutrition Coach. She is currently a CMPC applicant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and is working toward LCSW licensure in California.

Her mission is to help athletes and coaches not just perform—but truly thrive in sport and life. Julie also leads workshops for the Positive Coaching Alliance and is a dedicated advocate for equity and inclusion in girls’ and women’s sports, with a special commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

When she’s not coaching or presenting, you can find her lifting in the gym, hiking with her black lab Millie, or catching a women’s game. She’s all about movement, rest days, and making performance both fun and sustainable.
