Sergio Trejo, LMFT
Sergio Trejo holds a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California (2009) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco (2011). He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a deep-rooted passion for both athletic performance and mental wellness.

Sergio’s connection to sports psychology began in high school through the San Francisco Parks and Recreation Youth Golf Program, where he served as an Assistant Instructor. His early involvement focused on helping youth develop foundational golf skills and confidence on the course. This formative experience sparked a lifelong interest in the intersection of psychological development and athletic performance.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Sergio emphasized youth neurodevelopment, which further informed his approach to working with young athletes. During his graduate studies, he returned to the SF Park and Rec Youth Golf Program as Lead Instructor, balancing academic pursuits with hands-on instruction and mentorship.

Following his formal education, Sergio entered the mental health field, gaining licensure as an LMFT and working extensively with individuals and families across the greater Bay Area. His clinical work is informed by a deep understanding of developmental processes, emotional resilience, and mental conditioning.

In 2013, Sergio expanded his focus by immersing himself in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), becoming a dedicated practitioner and eventually a competition coach. With over a decade of BJJ experience, he now specializes in helping athletes prepare mentally and physically for high-level tournaments. His coaching style integrates performance psychology, somatic awareness, and mindfulness practices to help competitors perform under pressure.

Today, Sergio seeks to bridge his diverse background in golf, martial arts, and psychotherapy to support athletes in developing greater self-awareness, mental clarity, and focus—both in and out of competition. His holistic approach aims to foster not only peak performance but also long-term personal growth and resilience.

Saundre Allen, LCSW

Saundre creates safe and humanizing spaces for Black women to embrace their healing journey. She understands that race and gender creates different stressors for Black women. Her goal is to help black women curate and sustain a life they love. Her approach is influenced by Black feminist therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Saundre specializes in making therapy sessions conversational and down to earth. She received her master’s in social work from Howard University with a focus on African American mental health. Her undergraduate work was done at Saint Mary’s College of California where she studied psychology with an emphasis on adolescent and adult development. In her free time, Saundre enjoys going to concerts and hiking local trails with her dog.

Therapy Style: Affirming, Collaborative, Empowering

I care about others and want to help people better understand the power of their emotions as an empowering tool to live a better life, for themselves and others in society and the communities we may be from. Mental health stigma is apparent in society, it is a mission statement for me to support in breaking stigma. I come from a multicultural immigrant and BIPOC/API background; serving these populations and the mental health challenges they may be facing in America is meaningful work to me. I understand how it feels to struggle with the pressures of being a public performer; I focus my scope of practice & clinical skills towards serving these issues.

Other issues I specialize in: depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, complicated family dynamics, academic stress, racism, systemic oppression, religious trauma, chronic/rare illnesses, sexual orientation discrimination, gender identity challenges, mind and body balance.

I work in a client centered strength based and collaborative approach, where I work alongside clients as professional partners in treatment to focus on goals they care about and we both agree are appropriate and achievable in this treatment services setting. I ask open ended questions and take time and patience with clients to support them in feeling safe and comfortable enough to open up over time. I value constructive feedback, as the therapy space should be known that it is two humans working together towards clients’ goals, hopes, and wellness.

Workshop/webinars: in the past I have lead workshops on Asian Pacific Islander mental health and BIPOC mental health advocacy, racial trauma, COVID-19 emotional support, suicide prevention, non-violent crisis intervention prevention techniques, dialetcical music movement therapy, art therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, meditation, LGBTQI support groups, children’s groups, restorative justice, women’s groups, men’s issues groups, sexual health, mental health in the music industry.

I am a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I enjoy working with diverse populations and providing client-centered therapeutic services. Caprice Mottley, LCSW
My name is Caprice Mottley, and I bring a unique perspective to clinical work through my background as a former collegiate soccer player and my deep passion for supporting athletes’ mental health. After completing degrees in Sociology and Social Work from Lake Michigan College and Andrews University and gaining international experience in humanitarian studies, I began my clinical career with diverse populations, including Veterans, underrepresented communities, and college students/athletes. My professional journey led me to the first-ever Social Work Fellowship at Notre Dame in 2020, where I focused on student-athletes and have since continued to specialize in this area. I am currently in the process of completing my Doctorate in Education in Global Sports Leadership at East Tennessee State University, further deepening my expertise at the intersection of mental health and athletic performance. My clinical interests include performance enhancement, post-injury adjustment, identity challenges in sports, and the mental well-being of current and former athletes. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) within a laid-back, conversational, and multicultural framework that honors each client’s lived experiences, particularly those navigating both the demands of athletics and personal identity.

Workshops/webinars
I have led a variety of initiatives focused on mental health education, support, and advocacy within university settings. This includes facilitating the But You Don’t Look Sick process group, which created space for students navigating invisible illnesses, and leading the Black Mental Health Matters workshop, aimed at deepening understanding of mental health through the lens of the Black experience. In collaboration with the University of Notre Dame’s Law School, I helped organize and lead the BIPOC Racial Trauma Speaker Series, addressing the complex intersections of race and psychological well-being. I’ve also provided mental health consultations to a student body through the Let’s Talk program, offering accessible and informal support for mental health. Additionally, I’ve facilitated resilience training through the Penn Resilience Program for students, faculty, and staff, promoting emotional wellness and coping strategies across campus communities.

Easa Camorongan, LCSW

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Easa is a first-generation American-born Filipina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of California, Davis. Soon after graduation, she began direct care work in a community-based mental health wraparound pilot program – first as a counselor, then as a community resource specialist. During this time, she participated in her first endurance event: the Maui Marathon. With her team, she raised funds to benefit the preservation of the historical International Hotel (“I-Hotel”) and Manila town Heritage Foundation in San Francisco. In 2007, Easa earned her Master of Social Work at Smith College School for Social Work.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Easa’s professional interests include working with underrepresented and underserved populations, social justice and advocacy, decolonizing mental health, embodied healing practices, and working with athletes. Her experience includes over 20 years of direct care and supervisory experience providing community-based mental health services to youth and families involved in juvenile justice, child welfare, and social services systems. She is passionate about direct clinical work and developing new clinicians, counselors, and coaches in the healing, helping, and performance professions. In 2022, she participated in her first endurance cycling events – a metric century cycling ride in Livermore, California and a full Century cycling ride in Lake Tahoe, California and Nevada. As an avid cyclist, endurance athlete, and yoga enthusiast, she is excited to expand her clinical practice to serve athletes and their ecology and is currently developing a private therapy practice to this end.
